Prostate Cancer and Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Levels

Keep a Record of Your PSA Levels

For men with prostate cancer, one way you can help manage your disease is to partner with your physician. Stay informed about your test results, and ask questions about them. One of the most important tests you should be aware of is your PSA test.

As you may know, the PSA test measures the level of prostate-specific antigen in the blood. An above-normal level of PSA can be a warning sign that prostate cancer may be present. Although one PSA test alone may not be accurate enough to tell what is happening, it can be very useful to track your PSA levels over time. Only your doctor can determine how these changes in PSA levels, along with other factors, will affect your treatment.

Use the PSA tracker to record your ongoing PSA levels. This tool allows you to print a graph of your PSA levels to discuss with your doctor.
